Who We Are

New Leaf Triangle provides a fun, supportive, stress-free,  natural  learning environment to help individuals  of all ages  to  ‘grow’ and cope with life’s challenges. At New Leaf Triangle we use positive approaches including building on individuals’ strengths and creating positive relationships and emotions, all of which promote happiness, wellbeing and self-belief.

We can meet the needs of children and young people who are neurodiverse, have suffered trauma, have learning needs or have social, emotional or mental health conditions, including those who behaviours may be perceived as challenging'

Placements are flexible and tailored to each individual.  Staff work on a ratio of 1:1 with students towards outcomes that are agreed between all parties - often around confidence building, self-esteem, and peer relationships; helping young people to re-engage with education through fun and stress-free activities.  Placements are usually between half a day a week, up to 2.5 days per week.

We have two sites - our main site on Goadby Road, Chadwell, which is 2.5 acre and Site 2, which is our 5.5 acre equestrian site.  We are located in a beautiful, countryside location, near the market town of Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. We are a licenced riding establishment (no. RE009) and licenced camp site with Melton Borough Council.  Although our sites are not secure sites, our boundaries are well-fenced to minimise the risk of students absconding. We have a large, carpark area which can accommodate up to 14 cars. Our second site is a short walk away and is where we deliver equestrian qualifications and British Horse Society programmes.  In 2018, we opened another site a short walk away where we complete vocational activities, horseback archery and alternative education.

Facilities include three heated log cabins with a small kitchen and seating areas, toilet & shower facilities, natural sensory room, steel barn with large internal stables, additional wooden stables, two all-weather manege, feed shed and animal pens, play paddock and several horse paddocks.
